Another Boring Day In Wonderland

Yeah, it’s another boring day, actually very boring.. decided to watch a few movies. Got to see Scooby Doo 2 and Walking Tall.

  

For Scooby Doo, I won’t recommend anyone seeing it unless u want to reminisce the good old days of watching the cartoon. As said for the previous movie, the selection for Shaggy’s character was on spot. This time around the plotline was lamer. Revisiting the old premises for the cartoon with a little effect to spice things up, and that’s it. Have a go if you just want to laugh for no reason or simply because you just hate those scary moviessss.. :p
Walking Tall, hmm considering the fact that this is a loosely based remake which was a true story. It was quite ok. But mainly its an action film so don’t expect to see the any historical similarity or anything. The Rock’s character was loosely based on the legendary “Sheriff Buford Pusser”. Simply put, good guy meet up with bad guy = tons of action plus Johnny “JackAss” Knoxville as the lunatic sidekick 🙂 u get action, u get comedy. And for myself I simply enjoyed watching some ass being kicked.
Adios.. now time for another round of movie…

A Trip And A Date

Watched 2 movies recently.. that’s Euro Trip and 50 First Dates.


  

EuroTrip, as the name implies is a story about a trip to europe. But I can tell u this, the premise for the movie was lame. Basically its about this boy who discovered that his internet friend is actually a gorgeous looking german babe. And decided to seek her out. And that’s it… yet after all that it was rather entertaining. If you consider stupid jokes entertaining that is 😀 But hey.. it was ok la. Not so sure that the movie will ever get here because of nude scenes… But heck the nude scenes was hilarious…. 50++ nude men chasing the main characters.. 😀 If that’s not funny… I don’t know what else tickles u.
Its a different thing for 50 First Dates, another Happy Madison / Adam Sandler movie. As usual there’s the load of slapstick jokes. But not much as this is a romantic comedy, which I consider as sweet. Adam Sandler falling in love with Drew Barrymore, which happens to have a short term memory problem… She can’t remember anything that happens the day before… The sentiment of a guy who has to make a girl fall in love with him every other day is sweet. A recommended viewing for the young couples hehe :p
So officially according to my Monkey Factor Rating System I’d give EuroTrip :monkey: :monkey: + :pig: and for 50 1st Dates… :monkey: :monkey: :monkey: :monkey: Weeeee

I’m Back With A Smile

Fuuuu fuuu, I’m back! The short hiatus is over… My exam is finally over. With a bang I might say… :p Feels good to get that over and done with.
So today I went out with a friend and watched Monalisa Smile. And at the end of the show… i felt as if tears were coming out…. so you might call me a sissy for watching a girly movie and almost crying, but heck the fine acting got to me. Not to mention the fact that I’ve always loved the two Julias 🙂 And I might say that Julia Stiles acting this time around is ermm not plain, but somehow she managed to keep a low tone that she almost blend in with the other co-actors and leaving Julia Roberts and Kirsten Dunst to take the limelight. The human drama depicted in it was also fine even if it mainly centres on the plight of a feminist. (A fine point to note that is you are for male rights u are called a chauvinistic pig. But not the same for a feminist?). Also to note this is the first film produced by Red Om Production. Thats Moder backward. Moder happens to be Julia Roberts’s latest husband.
A must see for ppl who wish to save budget and see all 3 fine actresses together in a movie :p And for the storyline too of course 😀

Finally No More Neo

Didn’t accomplish much today, was thinking of actually going out and buying a ticket to Penang. But it was raining and I hate walking in the rain. Ekekekek…
Instead I watched Matrix Revolutions….. it all comes down to one simple thing in the matrix. Everything is about balance, balancing the equation. Here’s one simple equation for u to ponder.
Neo – Neo + X = X ; X = World
If -Neo = Smith;
When Neo = 0,
Smith = -(0)
Neo = -Smith
0 = 0 (balance achieved)
Conclusion don’t use math to describe a movie, it will confuse people. But then again that is exactly what happened in the matrix. Hehehehhe. Oh there was also the “Every Beginning Has An End” thingy.. sounds like a software lifecycle to me.

Movie Spree Week

I have blocked nose, I sound like a character from a cartoon or something.. The fever doesn’t want to subside… perhaps have to telan a few more medicine :sick:
Gonna try to watch at least the Italian Job by evening 🙂 There is also Agent Cody Banks which I want to watch yet have’nt been able to find the time yet. Yes you can expect a lot of movie review from me 🙂 Especially movies that have not been shown in Malaysia yet. Anyway what good if I can see movies if I don’t atleast say a word about it eh ?
Ok in response to nette’s question on whether 2 Fast 2 Furious is worth a watch, I’d say yes and no. The storyline is quite ok, the race scenes are way cool, everyone race has something nice about it. But still somehow it lacks something compared to Fast n Furious. And concerning the stars I’d give the movie 2 :monkey: coz it was fun and a :rose: for the cute girls in it 🙂 . Oh btw there’s less technical mumbo jumbo this time.. they just race… no more mention of NOS or anything 🙂

What A Girl Wants

Weee ok la, the movie was quite ok, though it is sort of another Princess Diaries, another Cinderella movie with a twist… They even mentioned Cinderella for god sake, here’s the not so direct quote 🙂
Daphne: “Hey step sis, you’ve seen Cinderella, I’m Cinderella, you are the evil step sister, I’m gonna win”
Clarissa: “huh…… ”
That’s how vain the movie was 🙂 but it sure was funny… now how about some thriller? Phone Booth starring Collin Farrel is next on the list..
You might be wondering why the heck am I writing about these movies when the hype is all about Matrix 2 and X-Men 2.. that is the reason.. all those hypes.. I’ve seen both, I’ve enjoyed both… but I aint gonna say a word edgewise.. I’ll leave that to other people… 😀
Meanwhile I’m currently occupied making some VCD out of my Initial D sets.. Anybody want’s a copy?
